9 Labor Unit Nurses Make Headlines After Learning They're All Expecting at Same Time
Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, is preparing for a baby boom among their very own labor and delivery nurses.
Nine nurses who work at the hospital’s labor and delivery unit are pregnant at the same time, due within just months of one another.
Eight of the nine women stood posed together in front of the labor and delivery doors at the hospital, proudly showing off their growing stomachs.

The coworkers have bonded over sharing this special time together.
“After each one of us started to say, ‘we’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other,” Erin Grenier told WESH-TV.
The nurses are enjoying a special camaraderie with one another as they come to work, able to share in the joys and trials of pregnancy.
Working while pregnant is never easy, especially with the physical demands of the job and long shifts placed on nurses, but these women seem determined to support one another through it all.
“It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” Amanda Spear said.
The women who help bring new life into the world day after day will soon find themselves in the reverse role, needing care after their own deliveries.
The babies are due between April and July and the nurses say they plan to be there for one another’s deliveries as they are able.
For now, the nurses come to each shift a little close to her due date, eagerly anticipating the arrival of that first baby, and then the next, and so on, until all nine have arrived safe and sound.
