The Irwin family boarded Steve’s famous boat, “Croc One,” to release a sea turtle back into the wild on the second episode of the season.

While on board, Bindi, 20, reflected on what her late father might be thinking if he could see the three of them out on his old boat.

Do you think Steve Irwin would be proud of his little girl and family?

“I think that maybe Dad might be out there somewhere, smiling, going, ‘You beauty. You’re using the boat,’” she said.

“I hope he’d be proud of us and I hope he’d be happy to see all the wonderful turtle releases we’ve done.”

While preparing to release the sea turtle, Bindi explained that her family savors moments like this.

“This is the most important part of our lives,” Bindi said moments before the turtle’s release.

“Months of work has gone into protecting this beautiful little life, and to come to the moment to release Eurong back to the wild. This is what we live for.”
