Heartfelt Moment Captured Between Prince Charles and Meghan Markle's Mother at Royal Wedding

Share

The internet is in love with Doria Ragland, mother of Meghan Markle. Ragland was the sole member of Markle’s family to attend the royal wedding on May 19, and she did so with admirable grace and poise.

Prior to the wedding, Ragland spent the week in London meeting the royal family.

One of the best introductions turned out to be between Ragland and Prince Charles, who welcomed Ragland into the family with kindness and class.

The night before her daughter’s wedding, Ragland stayed with Markle at the Cliveden House Hotel. On the royal wedding day, Ragland emerged wearing a soft green Oscar de la Renta dress and coat.

When Markle’s father backed out of attending the wedding, many speculated it might be Ragland who would walk her daughter down the aisle inside St. George’s Chapel.

But it was ultimately Prince Charles who accepted the honor of escorting his future daughter-in-law on her wedding day.

A poignant and heartfelt moment between Ragland and Prince Charles happened when it was time for the bride and groom to sign their register. Prince Charles took Ragland’s hand and escorted her out of the Quire, a moment that left the internet delighted.

After the bride and groom exchanged vows, guests began to file out of St. George’s Chapel. Prince Charles stood up and linked arms with Ragland and his wife, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall.

On social media, royal wedding fans commended both Ragland and Prince Charles for their gracious behavior throughout the event.

People loved how Ragland navigated the royal world as a single mom and woman with such confidence.

Cheers to Doria Ragland for navigating such a historic day with class. Her presence at the royal wedding made a long-lasting statement of strength and love.
