NFL Star Brings Home 'Present' After 1st Game of Season for Newborn Son

Share

Sunday Night Football made a fantastic 2018 debut with the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers duking it out for the win in dramatic division-rival fashion.

The wild game was filled with enough drama and tension to make even the most disinterested football fan glance up from his phone and take notice.

The drama began when Aaron Rodgers was taken off the field with a knee injury early on in the game, sucking the life out of Lambeau Field.

Chicago fans were giddy with the thought of a win, licking their chops as they watched the score run up in their favor.

The Bears were up 20-0 when Aaron Rodgers returned to the field to do what he does best — play like Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers, playing through his injury, rallied his offense and threw three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, ultimately leading Green Bay to a 24-23 victory.

The most exciting play was made in just 26 seconds when Rodgers found wide receiver Randall Cobb for a chance to win the game, the Journal Sentinel reported.

Cobb triumphantly raced past outside linebacker Khalil Mack to snatch up Rodgers’ pass and score a 75-yard touchdown.

Did you watch the Packers and Bears game?

Lambeau Field more or less exploded with excitement, as both Rodgers and Cobb won the hearts of new fans and recemented their legend status with their long-standing fans, who never for a moment doubted that Rodgers could pull off such an impressive comeback.

Cobb celebrated the huge win in the most heartwarming way possible, sharing his football with his newborn son.

Cobb and his wife, Aiyda, became parents on Aug. 10 with the birth of their first child, Caspian Cyrus Cobb.

“Baby boy, I brought you a present home!” Cobb wrote on Instagram. He tagged the photo with #MyWhy, clearly suggesting his football heart is beating a whole new rhythm.

Cobb ended up with nine catches for 142 yards and the most satisfying score of the night. Not a bad way to introduce baby Cobb to the NFL!
