Princess Charlotte Caught Channeling Her 'Inner Uncle Harry' At Royal Wedding

Share

It appears Prince Harry has taught his little niece how to royally ham it up in front of photographers.

Princess Charlotte, 3, played the role of bridesmaid at her uncle’s wedding on May 19, and for a brief moment, stole the show when she channeled her inner Uncle Harry.

As Princess Charlotte sat in the car on her way to Windsor Castle, she pulled a classic Prince Harry move.

With an uncanny likeness to her uncle, Princess Charlotte made the same face Uncle Harry pulled off back in the 80s.

Maybe it has to do with being the second-born child, but both Prince Harry and Princess Charlotte seem to have a sweetly mischievous side.

There was no shyness coming from young Charlotte at the wedding, rather, she seemed ready to perform.

As the car drove up, Princess Charlotte briefly stuck her tongue out at the droves of people waiting for her arrival. Her adorably naughty face mirrored that of Uncle Harry when he famously stuck his tongue out after arriving to meet his cousin, Princess Beatrice of York, at a hospital in 1988.

Prince Harry repeated the gesture on several royal occasions, making it somewhat of a signature move. He famously stuck his tongue out again while in the car, arriving with the late Princess Diana for a school nativity play.

The late princess was quick to scoop her son up in her arms and move him out of the camera’s view. She was smiling though, smitten with her son’s feisty personality.

Also in 1988, the prince was photographed sticking his tongue out on the Buckingham Palace balcony while in his mother’s arms.

The look on his mother’s face was one that all mothers can relate to — trying to gently yet sternly admonish a misbehaving child while in a very public place.

As for Princess Charlotte, she went on to perform her royal bridesmaid duties with adorable poise. With a crown of flowers on her head and a flower bouquet in her hands, she joined the rest of the little girl bridesmaids.

Princess Charlotte was one of six girls to play the role of bridesmaid in the royal wedding. The other girls, aged two through seven years, mostly comprised of the bride and groom’s godchildren.

The bridesmaids joined the four pageboys, including Prince George, Charlotte’s older brother. The children were very well behaved as they followed the beautiful Meghan Markle down the aisle, just as they’d rehearsed.

As the bride and groom exited the building as man and wife, Princess Charlotte gave them an adorable wave. Her parents were likely sighing in relief that their little princess was so well poised for such a historic event.
