Rapper Buys Car for Good Samaritan Who Helped Save His Life After Car Accident
We’ve all heard the saying, “what goes around, comes around.” And for a good Samaritan in Georgia, his good deed has come back around with four shiny new wheels.
Good Samaritan J’Mmar Coleman received a new car for rescuing a man after a car crash.
Last month, Coleman didn’t have a vehicle of his own, but now he’s driving a brand new Nissan Altima.
Coleman was walking to work on May 17 when he came across a vehicle smashed into a tree. Coleman stopped to see if the driver was OK.
The driver happened to be a celebrity — rapper Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known as the artist Offset. Offset, 26, is part of the American hip hop trio Migos, based in Georgia.
The rapper was in poor shape after the crash, having smashed into a tree while trying to avoid a pedestrian. Coleman helped Offset get out of his vehicle and to a hospital for treatment.
Offset later posted photos of himself wearing a neck brace in the hospital, mouth bloodied and deep cuts on both of his arms. He also shared a photo of his totaled Dodge Challenger.
“This is why I thank God Every day,” Offset wrote on Instagram. “I could have been dead from this accident, thank you all for you prayers.”
On May 30, the rapper posted a photo on Twitter of himself and Coleman standing in front of a new car, captioned: “THANK YOU JMMAR FOR HELPING SAVE MY LIFE. GOD IS GOOD.”

In a video interview with WorldStarHipHop, Offset praised Coleman for stopping to help.
“He saved my life when I had an accident,” the artist said. “He was the only one that seen me, helped me get out the car, helped me walk to get to where I had to get to.”
“So I bought my boy a car,” he added.
Offset is currently engaged to rapper Cardi B, born Belcalis Almanzar. The couple is expecting their first baby in July.
