Royal Family Fans Gushing Over Rare Moment Featuring Little Prince Louis

Share

Since his birth in April, little Prince Louis has understandably remained fairly out of the spotlight.

Fans glimpsed the face of the baby as a newborn, in the arms of big sister Princess Charlotte, and then again in July for his christening.

But in the months that followed, parents Kate Middleton and Prince William kept their third child’s face relatively out of the public eye.

Now, the release of a photo featuring the adorable six-month-old with his grandfather, Prince Charles, has fans gushing with joy.

While Prince Louis is officially half a year old, Prince Charles is preparing to celebrate his 70th birthday on Nov. 14.

The difference in age between grandfather and grandson certainly made for an adorable photo, which shows Kate Middleton holding Prince Louis in her arms while Prince Charles gently clasps the baby’s hands and looks on him with love.

The baby’s face is mostly hidden, but his cute chubby cheeks are akin to baby photos of Prince Louis’ older brother, Prince George.

The precious photo became instantly famous after it appeared on the highly-anticipated BBC One documentary, “Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70.”

The documentary has been released just in time for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday and includes words from Prince William, who said his father was “brilliant” with his grandchildren.

Prince William spoke about his desire for grandpa to devote more time to his grandchildren.

“It’s something I’m working more heavily on, put it that way,” William said in the documentary. “I think he does have time for it, but I would like him to have more time with the children.”

Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, agreed that Charles is great with his grandchildren.

“He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him,” Camilla said.

“He reads ‘Harry Potter’ and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that.”

Prince Charles will have a fourth grandchild to play with next spring, with the anticipated birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first baby.
