Runaway Black Lab Returns Home with Two New Friends: A Dog and a Goat
A free-spirited black Labrador in Kansas ran miles away from his home and found his soulmates: a dog and a goat.
Bo the dog has an adventurous spirit and the heart of an explorer, likely dreaming of running wild and free under the open Kansas skies.
Bo’s family became concerned when he disappeared one night and failed to return home.
Bo’s owners, Laura and Kyle Krier, searched everywhere for their pup, but ended up going to sleep that night with heavy hearts.
“We had been searching for him nonstop,” Laura Krier told The Dodo.
The next day, the Kriers heard that a dog matching Bo’s description had been seen playing in a field six miles away.
Kyle Krier drove the six miles to investigate and chuckled to himself when he did spot Bo — running wild and free under the open Kansas skies.
Only Bo was not alone, he’d picked up a pair of kindred spirits along the way — another dog and a goat.
Krier took a video of the trio galloping through the field, a carefree bunch of friends living their best life.
The dog and goat, Ozzy and Libby, belonged to Chris and Shawna Huggans who live near the Kriers.
Krier loaded the hooligans into his truck and delivered everyone back home, safe and sound.
It’ll always be a mystery as to who instigated the mischief.
“It’s difficult to say if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the culprit in starting the adventure,” Shawna Huggans said. “But, nonetheless, they escaped.”
“They’re pals for sure,” she said.
The Krier family is glad for a happy ending, and are still laughing at the antics of their animals.
“It was one of those stories that you tell your family and friends and they don’t believe you,” Laura Krier said.
“But then you watch the video and it totally happened.”
The Kriers love their dog’s enthusiasm for life, though they appreciate it when he comes home at night.
“It is funny. Bo is crazy, he is full of energy and always up to something,” Laura Krier said. “He’s a nice, sweet dog.”
