What Will Steve Harvey Do After Getting the Boot from NBC from Two Different Shows?
Entertainer and comedian Steve Harvey is anticipating some changes to his career after learning he would not be returning to NBC television in the 2019-20 season.
Harvey’s long-running daytime talk show “Steve,” which began in 2012, will end in June and is slated to be replaced by Kelly Clarkson, who will host an hour-long talk show of her own, according to Variety.
Additionally, Harvey will not be returning as the host of NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” which he has hosted for the past three seasons.
NBC announced plans to introduce comedian and actress Melissa McCarthy as the new host of “Little Big Shots.”
Harvey has been the host of NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” since the variety show launched in 2016, and was one of the creative minds behind the show’s conception, alongside Ellen DeGeneres.
While some celebrities may be dismayed at the news that a major television network is moving on without them, Harvey, 62, seems to be unfazed.
The popular entertainer will rely on the same source of comfort and strength that he has always looked to throughout his career: his faith in God.

Harvey’s wife, Marjorie Harvey, recently posted a clip of her husband’s final speech to his live studio audience during the last taping of “Steve,” which will likely air in June.
The host was not fearful about the future, but rather, comforted in knowing it is God who will direct his path.

“Seven years coming to a close,” the talk show host said. “This is good though, man. You gotta understand how it works.”
“Your life ain’t nothing but a book. I happen to be 62 years old. I am in the middle of my 62nd chapter of the book that I’m writing.”
“There are some good books in there, too, there are some good chapters and some bad chapters. And some chapters that lasted a little bit longer than I wanted to,” he said, referencing his years of homelessness.
“But in this 62nd chapter, I’ve got my finger on the corner of the page,” Harvey said. “All I’m doing is I’m about to turn it.”
“I can’t wait to see what God’s got for me on that other page.”
