Tim Tebow's Parents Celebrate 47th Wedding Anniversary by Meeting Girlfriend's Family

Share

Tim Tebow posted a proud shout-out to his parents, who he said have been married for 47 years, on social media on Sept. 10.

The photo he chose to post depicts all the beauty and hardship that marriage has to offer in one heartwarming moment: a grey-haired couple holding hands while walking in the rain.

Tebow’s parents were photographed in New York City and apparently had an important meeting on their agenda while they were there.

In July, 31-year-old Tebow confirmed he was dating 23-year-old Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, also known as Miss Universe.

“She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life,” Tebow said at the time.

“I am usually very private with these things, but I am very thankful.”

Do you think Tebow is looking to go to the next stage in his relationship?

According to Nel-Peters, the relationship is still going strong. She posted a photo on social media of her parents meeting Tebow’s parents in the Big Apple.

“So blessed and grateful to have time with my parents and another really special family,” she captioned the photo.

In July, Nel-Peters said that she and Tebow first met through Tebow’s charity work with The Tim Tebow Foundation.

“I don’t know if you know, but I have a half-sister who was born with a disability and his foundation (The Tim Tebow Foundation) works very closely with children with disabilities,” she told the New York Post.

“They have an event each year called ‘Night to Shine’ and they host them each year in churches and in different countries and he invited me and my family,” Nel-Peters said. “We started talking and we kinda haven’t stopped.”

To some fans, the “Meeting of the Parents,” is a milestone-type indication that Tebow may have some big relationship plans on the horizon.

Maybe, and maybe not — it’s all speculation at this point. But whatever is ahead for this couple, no doubt their supportive parents will remain nearby.
