As NBC’s popular television singing competition “The Voice” gears up for season 15, audiences have been teased with the vocal giftings of a 13-year-old singer from St. Louis.

Get ready to meet Kennedy Holmes, who is barely a teenager but already has the voice of a polished vocalist.

With her family watching nervously from backstage, a confident Kennedy stood ready for her blind audition.

She sang “Turning Tables” by Adele, an appropriate choice to showcase the teenager’s vocal range and power.

Kennedy watched with astonishment as all four judges turned their chairs to face her, which means they want Kennedy on their season 15 team.

Seasoned vocal coach Blake Shelton pleaded with Kennedy to choose him as her coach, promising he’d help her find success even though they sing two very different styles.

Coach Kelly Clarkson could scarcely believe the singer was only 13.

Clarkson complimented Kennedy on her vocal control, not only during the powerful moments, but during the quietest, most intimate of musical phrases.

Through all the compliments, Kennedy maintained her composure with very sincere thank-yous and an authentic smile.

But when famed vocalist and actress Jennifer Hudson spoke up, Kennedy could barely control her overwhelming emotions.

Kennedy stood star-struck, nearly breaking down on stage as the reality began to sink in that one of her musical idols was talking to her.

Kennedy managed to reveal that she’d always dreamed of meeting and singing alongside Jennifer Hudson.

So Hudson, eager to make a dream come true, decided there was no time like the present to get started.

Hudson grabbed a mic and joined Kennedy onstage, and the two began to sing.

The audience ate up the performance, as Kennedy’s family wiped away tears of joy from their backstage vantage point.

Of course, “The Voice” teaser clip left out the part where Kennedy had to choose a vocal coach. Viewers will have to tune in to the season premiere to find out.

Many already are saying that Kennedy has what it takes to win the entire event.

But judging from her moments on stage beside Hudson, it’s safe to say that Kennedy has already won a lifelong memory that nobody else can take away.
