Here Are Some of the Women Who Spend Thousands Dressing Exactly Like Kate Middleton

Share

These women call themselves Copy Kates and Repli-Kates, proudly building their wardrobes around what the real Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, places in her closet.

Kate Middleton’s style has been beloved by her fans who find her fashion choices to be classic, elegant and perfectly suited for the future Queen of England.

These women have enjoyed years of copying Middleton’s style, scouring the internet and hounding fashion companies to purchase replicas of the dresses, tops, bottoms and shoes that their favorite duchess wears.

Kate Urbanksa has dedicated an Instagram page, @GreatRepliKate, to showing off her Middleton looks, outfits she pieced together at a fraction of the cost.

Urbanska, a beautician who lives in the U.K., searches fashion resale sites for just the right piece and will hire a tailor to make pieces look as authentically Kate Middleton as possible.

“I love Kate Middleton and her style — her look is modest, timeless and so different compared to other celebrities nowadays,” Urbanska told the Daily Mail in a 2017 interview.

Danielle Wellman, a psychiatrist from Minnesota, has collected roughly 100 Kate Middleton outfits over a span of eight or so years.

Is there a celebrity whose style you would try to copy?

“Her style is classic, it’s simple,” Wellman told Inside Edition. “Kate Middleton is my fashion icon.”

Wellman told Inside Edition that she has spent thousands of dollars building her wardrobe over the years, sporting her favorite dresses and shoes the princess has worn.

Kate Kingston, a 35-year-old mother of two who lives in Canada, also adores copying the Duchess, and sometimes copies Pippa Middleton’s style, too.

“I never thought I’d get into copying a celebrity’s style, but the way Kate dresses just spoke to me,” Kingston told the Mirror.

Kingston has over 30 items that match what the Duchess has worn, and owns around a dozen copycat pieces.

“I feel good when I wear Kate’s clothes, and know I’m well dressed,” Kingson said. “It’s great knowing a princess has worn the same thing as me.”

Rachael and Brooke, two Australian women, have their own Middleton-inspired Instagram page, Cambridge Mums.

These two “Royally replikating mums from Australia” even sported some of the same maternity outfits as the Duchess herself in between wrangling children and sipping cups of tea.

There is no question that these women are dedicated and seem to truly enjoy the niche they have found in patterning their own fashion after one of their favorite celebrities.
