Attention 'Caddyshack' Fans: Bill Murray & Brothers Just Opened Restaurant You've Been Waiting For

Share

Fans of the 1980 comedy classic “Caddyshack,” rejoice! Bill Murray and his brothers have exciting news.

Almost 17 years after the opening of the original Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida, the six Murray brothers have decided to bring the movie-themed eatery home to Chicago.

Bill, Brian-Doyle, Ed, Joel, and Johnny Murray worked with their brother Andy and entrepreneur Mac Haskell in the ’90s to create a restaurant they described as “an extension of our living room.”

The family has designed the latest location in a similar fashion, hoping to give it the “look and feel like a country club gone awry” tucked inside the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel.

The 8,600-square-foot restaurant pays homage to the iconic golf-themed movie in more ways than you can begin to imagine.

And with the motto, “Eat, Drink, and Be Murray,” where could you go wrong?

The casual, family-friendly restaurant opened April 13 and serves both lunch and dinner.

Plenty of movie posters, pictures from the set, ’80s references, and a menu based on golf terms and movie scenes are just a few of the things you’ll encounter.

Instead of the traditional menu categories of Appetizers, Salads, and Entrees, diners make their selections from The Tee Box, The Greens, and The Fairway.

The drink selection at the restaurant’s island bar also incorporates fan’s favorite movie moments.

Chances are you’ll encounter your favorite “Caddyshack” quote on the wall as you sip your Pool Water martini served with a Baby Ruth on the side.

Over 30 televisions throughout the restaurant will show live sports, and a shop inside called The Shed will sell plenty of merchandise including golf memorabilia and t-shirts.
