Adorable Baby Girl Blows Kisses at Passengers After Flight Attendant Scoops Her Up
Long plane rides can be tough on little ones and even tougher on their parents. As any mom knows, making sure babies feel calm and cared for during family travels can be a full-time job.
On a recent Southwest flight from Austin, Texas, to Reno, Nevada, one mom received a sweet gesture of kindness when her toddler started to fuss.
Savannah Blum was on her way home to Nevada with her 19-month old, Brittan, who began whimpering as the plane was preparing for departure.
That’s when Jessica Jackson, one of the flight attendants, surprised Blum by taking Brittan into her arms, WNBC reported.
“Come here, baby. I got her, mama. You go sit down,” Jackon said, according to Blum.
The Southwest worker tucked Brittan close to her side as she continued to execute the preflight safety steps, even carrying the little girl with her as she shut the baggage compartments.
Brittan was enchanted.
Relaxing in Jackson’s care, the toddler began to smile and wave as the flight attendant carried her up the aisle.
The baby girl even joined in on Jackson’s greeting by blowing kisses to the other passengers.
From her seat, Blum captured the precious moment on video.
The proud mama posted the footage on Facebook with the caption, “Everyone loves this little girl, even Southwest passengers and flight attendants.”
Southwest Airlines told WNBC that its employees “take great pride in delivering our legendary Southwest Hospitality, so it’s not surprising that one of our amazing Flight Attendants shared her Southwest Heart while helping to care for one of our youngest customers in such a sweet, fun way!”
Blum said that Brittan usually sleeps during trips, but an unexpected plane change had left the toddler feeling restless as they prepared to travel home after spring vacation.
The story is a sweet reminder to plane travelers to stay patient with little ones during long flights.
Jackson’s decision to reach out with kindness and support for Blum will hopefully inspire others to do the same.
