5-Year-Old's Adorable Cover of Sinatra's 'Fly Me to the Moon' Will Leave You Dancing in Your Kitchen

There’s just something indescribably adorable about little kids belting out a song with all their heart. Teens and adults often feel self-conscious — but youngsters simply immerse themselves into the moment.

It’s an important life lesson for all of us. A child doesn’t necessarily care about perfect pitch, flawless rhythm or impressive technique.

Flowing along with that catchy melody is all that really matters. An upbeat tune can fill anyone’s spirit with hope and simple happiness if you let it.

Maybe that’s why social media is swooning over a sweet little girl named Sophie.

Apparently, age represents no barrier whatsoever for 5-year-old Sophie Fatu. According to Billboard magazine, she’s the youngest performer to appear on “America’s Got Talent” to date.

In fact, during her AGT performance, winsome Sophie wowed the crowd with her lively delivery of “New York, New York.” Viewers were blown away by her big-hearted rendition of that timeless Frank Sinatra classic.

Social media lit up in adoration over this apple-cheeked sprite. Clearly, it was time to “start spreading the news” about the tiny lass with the titanic voice.

And a recent Rumble video proves that Sophie has a whole lot more where that came from. It also shows that, evidently, Sinatra seems to be her “note”-worthy muse of choice.

The short snippet depicts Sophie tackling another all-time favorite from Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. This time, she tries her hand at “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Let’s just say the charming result is sure to have you sashaying across your living room. The pint-sized prodigy even works in a few of Sinatra’s familiar vocal inflections, with a touch of vibrato to boot.

Of course, Sophie doesn’t always pronounce the letter “r” with perfectly sharp precision. Yet that only adds to her universal appeal.

Viewers are absolutely captivated by those cascading curls, endearing dimples and twinkling saucer-shaped eyes. And once Sophie gets into the tune, her one-thousand-megawatt smile really lights up the room as well.

Sophie flashes an enthusiastic thumbs-up before kicking things off with girlish gusto. “Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars,” she croons.

As the lyrics continue, she stands there in her pink polar bear pinafore, bobbing in time to the music. Sophie’s signature ringlets bounce away, and viewers can’t help but grin right along with her.

According to Songfacts, this particular Sinatra tune was originally penned by composer Bart Howard back in 1954. Its original title was actually “In Other Words.”

And there are actually quite a number of other words to describe Miss Sophie the songstress. They include talented, spirited, fun, animated, and just plain wonderful.

Enjoy this video on repeat, and remember that age-old refrain: “Dance like nobody’s watching.” Sophie Fatu proves the same philosophy absolutely applies to vocals, as well.
