Watch Little Girl's Reaction After Mother Catches Her Stealing Entire Block of Cheese

During the holiday season, the fridge beckons mightily. In fact, the standard list of appetite-whetting items often goes straight off the charts.

Some of those items are off-limits due to upcoming family dinners. But for many of us, that only seems to enhance their appeal.

There are fancy pies and leftover cookies. There are roasted meats and succulent side dishes and a host of other calorie-laden concoctions we’d hardly ever dream of consuming at other times of the year.

But some of the most tempting foods can be pretty simple and straightforward. Take chocolate, for example, or cheese.

A lot of people understand that a straight-up slice of cheese can be a heavenly improvement to any day. And there are so many tasty varieties — Brie, feta, provolone, Cheddar, Camembert, Gouda, and more.

But for the true cheese lover, classifications don’t really matter. That tangy goodness hits the tongue, and all is right with the world.

If this statement resonates with you, a 2-year-old toddler named Harriet just might be your new hero.

Harriet’s mom, Alicia Lily Annable, recently shared a Facebook video that went viral almost immediately. It shows young Harriet stealing some cheese from the fridge in her home.

Well, technically, Harriet managed to get her hands on an entire block of cheese. Harriet snatched up her prize and headed straight for the staircase.

Then she simply sat, and began chowing down ecstatically. Viewers everywhere seemed to relate.

But Mom was on the scene in a flash. “My fridge is open,” Annable intoned wryly. “Have you been in there?”

“No,” insisted Harriet, as she closed her eyes and continued blissfully chewing.

Annable realized it was probably time to point out the obvious. “You’re holding a block of cheese,” she stated in a stern-yet-secretly-amused parental voice.

Harriet’s silent consumption continued with gusto. “Stop eating it,” Mom demanded, displaying the half-eaten cheese chunk for the camera.

Unfortunately, the hungry little girl appeared both determined and undeterred. “Give it to Mommy,” Annable said, while Harriet hugged her prize to her tiny chest.

The video has since been picked up by LADbible and other media outlets. A few social media users have actually pointed out the faint red marker stains all over Harriet’s little fingers. These folks humorously insist this is proof that Harriet was “caught red-handed.”

But clearly, the youngster doesn’t seem too concerned with the opinions of others. Those closed eyes and that overjoyed cheese-loving grin speak absolute volumes.
