When a loved one passes away, imagining how life will proceed without them can be impossible. Although the grieving period eventually passes, nothing is ever the same following the loss of a beloved family member.

Beth Chapman, wife of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, recently passed away at age 51 after a struggle with throat and lung cancer. Fans of the A&E show have been sending their prayers and well wishes to the Chapman family as they cope with the heartbreaking loss.

On Saturday, July 13, the Chapman family honored their beloved mother and wife at a memorial service in Beth’s home state, Colorado.

During the live-streamed service, the Chapmans shared how Beth touched their lives during her time on Earth.

“In the ’70s, I did 18 months in the Texas penitentiary and I told God yesterday I’d do five years, ten years day to day just to kiss her again. I never felt like this,” Duane said as he delivered his emotional eulogy.

The Chapmans’ youngest daughter, Bonnie, echoed her father’s sentiments, revealing how much she misses her mom.

“I’ve never imagined I would lose my mom at 20,” Bonnie said. “I never imagined walking down the aisle without her or her not judging my dress. I never imagined a life without her, it’s really tough now being without her.”

Bonnie also took to Twitter to pay tribute to Beth. In a series of heartfelt tweets, she shared the many ways her mother inspired her.

“I’ll never forget you, mama,” she wrote. “You were such a strong woman, and you taught me to always be strong. You were strong for everyone, and you taught me it’s okay to let go.”

Following the memorial service, Bonnie took to Instagram to speak further about how her family is coping with grief.

In an informal Q&A session posted to her Instagram story, Bonnie answered her followers’ questions. One fan asked if her father planned to remarry. Bonnie was quick to respond with certainty.

Duane is open about his faith, confidently declaring that he will see his wife again.

“She will never be dead to me. She is in another place,” Duane said during the eulogy. “I’m gonna get to heaven and make her so proud. She’s gonna say like she said here, ‘That’s my man right there, that’s big daddy right there.'”
