Adorable Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Nerves That Come with Being Mom of 2

Share

If you missed Carrie Underwood’s big news on August 8, the singer shared a video on her Instagram account in which she announced she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting baby number two.

The video started out with Underwood filling fans in on everything they need to know about the Cry Pretty 360 Tour, including the reason why it’s been postponed.

The video followed an interview Underwood gave Redbook on August 2. In the interview, Underwood shared about her thoughts on having more children.

She and her husband already have 3-year-old Isaiah. Underwood talked about possibly having missed her chance to have a “big family” due to her age.

The comment sparked some backlash on social media. But Underwood’s loyal fans came to her rescue, sharing their support for the country singer.

The comment has seemingly been forgotten, and now Underwood has been named the 2018 Teen Choice Awards Country Artist of the year.

Underwood celebrated by posting a photo of the cover for her new album, Cry Pretty, and thanking her fans, whom she calls “Carebears.”

No doubt her “Carebears” are tickled pink at Underwood’s news. Some are speculating as to the baby’s gender, wondering if the pink jacket and background in Underwood’s video are clues.

An interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2014 let on that Underwood does hope her second child will be a baby girl.

“We plan on having a girl,” she said. “I don’t know if you can do that, but at some point we’d really like that.”

From all the pink in her announcement video, I’d say Underwood’s dream of giving her son a baby sister might just be coming true.

Then again, a comment she made to The Tennessean may say otherwise. “I don’t know what it is,” she said. “You’ve got a 50 percent chance you’re correct. I have no idea.”

Either way, the pregnant mama seems ecstatic over the news. She shared her first baby bump photo on Instagram on August 10, taken while she waited backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Underwood is a bit nervous about what’s in store for her as a mom of two.

“It’s going to be a different ball game, for sure. My brain, I’m such a planner. I want to know how it’s all going to go,” she said.

Although she may seem a bit unsure about this new venture, Underwood remained positive. “No matter who you are, you make it happen, you make it work, you get your team behind you,” she shared.
