Hollywood Star Hilary Duff Shares Incredible Clip from After Her Home Water Birth

Share

Many of us first met Hillary Duff through her role as “Lizzie” on Disney Channel’s “Lizzie McGuire,” a tween show from the early 2000s that featured Duff facing life alongside the cartoon persona inside her head.

Soon Duff became a pop sensation and went on to create music videos and even star in movies. Aside from “The Lizzie McGuire Movie,” there was also my favorite, “A Cinderella Story,” along with “Raise Your Voice,” and “The Perfect Man.”

But since her Disney Channel and feel-good film days, Duff has taken time to focus on the more important things in life.

Motherhood suits the 31-year-old well. Her son, Luca Cruz, is already 7 years old. “Luca Cruz … the star of my heart,” Duff shared on Instagram. “Makes me proud everyday. 7 better look out … he has arrived.”

More recently, Duff gave birth to a baby girl. Banks Violet Bair was welcomed to the world in October 2018. “This little bit has fully stolen our hearts!” Duff wrote.

“She joined our world at home … and is absolute magic.” We couldn’t agree more! Banks is a sight and we definitely see her mother in her.

People reported that Duff brought her little girl into the world via an at home water birth. Banks’ father, Matthew Koma, was by Duff’s side for the entire experience.

“Matt provided such a safe calm strength,” Duff shared on Instagram in a very vulnerable video post recently.

The video shows the sweet mama holding her baby girl for the first time. Banks appears to reach up and wrap her arms around her mom for a hug.

“‘I’ve been wondering for a long time if I would ever share this video as it is extremely personal…” Duff explained. “It was so absolutely lovely and rewarding (and shocking) that after giving birth to my baby girl we hugged … for the first time.”

I’ve been wondering for a long time if I would ever share this video as it is extremely personal…. it was so absolutely lovely and rewarding(and shocking) that after giving birth to my baby girl we hugged …for the first time, In my mind I like to believe that she was saying good job mom. Go team go. We did it. Together. Matt provided such a safe calm strength, my mommy and sissy were there to cheer me on, and of course my birth angels to make sure all was well and big brother (downstairs deep in legos). I cannot believe this day was only 5 months ago!! It seems like B has been here with us all along. The time is already going so fast..she tried avocado yesterday! Anyway… feeling blessed for this full hectic life and all the people in it. Happy 5 months Banks (oh and thanks for quitting colic) that was a doozy ( @rebeccacoursey_photosandfilm )

“In my mind I like to believe that she was saying good job mom,” Duff continued. “Go team go. We did it. Together.”

And we sure do love seeing them that way — together. Banks is 5 months old now and her mom says she’s “feeling blessed for this full hectic life and all the people in it.”

Her words remind us of what’s truly important. We’re so grateful she took time to share this priceless moment with the world.
