Parents Do Double-Take After Delivery. Capture Grandma's Priceless Reaction to Baby

Share

While some choose to keep a baby’s gender a surprise until birth, others prefer to know exactly what they can expect. And why not?

Knowing whether it’s a boy or a girl can help parents prepare. It gives family members a chance to shop for either pink or blue, and allows mom and dad to plan a nursery room theme.

But often an ultrasound doesn’t provide a clear picture, leaving the technician and hopeful parents to guess what’s between those tiny legs.

“There are multiple things that factor into the accuracy of the ultrasound … ” Dr. Lisa Masterson explained to “Inside Edition.” “If the legs are crossed and you can’t really see if there’s a penis or not.”

For Kyle and Danielle Williams, one such guess turned out to be the wrong one indeed. When the day came for their brand new baby girl, Charlee, to be born, they received a shock that had everyone’s jaws dropping.

“I was shocked to say the least,” Danielle said in an interview with Inside Edition.

“All I could say to her was ‘Well, there’s a bit of a surprise,'” Kyle recalled.

Though this sudden and unexpected surprise could have had them panicking over all the pink and frills they had accumulated, the Williams family decided to have a little fun. And wait until you see grandma’s reaction!

When she went to change the newborn’s diaper, Grandma already had in mind what she would see there. After all, Danielle and Kyle had been told to expect a baby girl since Danielle was four months pregnant.

But upon opening the diaper, Grandma found a little something extra waiting for her.

Take a look at her priceless reaction to her new grandson:

And grandma wasn’t the only one in for a shocker. The Williams’ seemed to have a blast filming multiple reactions from family and friends.
