Rock Thrown by Man with Road Rage Smacks Woman's Face, Rushes for Help After Looking in Mirror

Share

Road rage is a very real issue. Sometimes it goes beyond a few choice words shouted from beyond the windshield.

Sometimes road rage turns into violence. This is what happened to a woman from Akron, Ohio, when she found herself face-to-face with road rage in the form of a bicyclist.

According to WKYC 3, Kimberly Guy was in her vehicle when she stopped at a traffic light on East Market Street and Verdun Drive.

A man riding a bicycle reportedly rode by before Guy turned right. That’s when the unthinkable happened.

“When I looked over, the guy was like, ‘You need to pay attention to where you are driving,'” Guy told WKYC 3.

She went on to describe how the man picked up a rock and chucked it through her open passenger side window.

Now the Akron woman wants answers. “I did nothing wrong. I was driving. This is the result of it.”

Guy has suffered a broken jaw, 5 broken teeth, and a split lip that will need stitches. She will have to eat and drink through a straw for almost a month after her jaw surgery.

“At this point praying and hoping God sees me through this fast and I can get back to normal,” she shared.

This poor woman has experienced a terrible ordeal for seemingly no reason, but this isn’t the first time a case of Akron road rage has led to violence.

In June, Fox 8 Cleveland reported a strikingly similar incident in which a woman and her boyfriend stopped at a traffic light.

Their vehicle was behind a motorcycle. When the light turned green and the motorcyclist didn’t move, the man in the vehicle honked.

After an argument, the incident ended with a piece of concrete being thrown through the vehicle’s passenger side window after they had driven away. The woman in that vehicle suffered a broken jaw as well.

Could these two incidents be related? Could the man on the motorcycle and the one on the bicycle be one and the same?

Police have said both encounters are under investigation. For now, we hope the victims of these horrible crimes will emotionally and physically recover soon.
