Liberal Snowflake Claims Border Patrol at Career Day Is an 'Extension of the KKK on Campus'

Share

Career day isn’t exactly the most exciting part of the college experience for most. In fact, it’s not even exciting relative to, say, your average class.

At least at the University of Arizona, though, it became exciting — and, in no small way, infuriating — when a left-wing activist interrupted a lecture by Border Patrol agents, called them “murderers” and an “extension of the KKK on campus” and livestreamed the whole thing on Facebook.

According to Campus Reform, the two Customs and Border Protection agents had been invited there by the university’s Criminal Justice Association.

It was all on the up-and-up, as Criminal Justice Association President Luisa Muzbeck Pinto said.

“Border Patrol was on campus at that time because the Criminal Justice Association (a UA recognized student organization) invited them to speak at one of our meetings where we had the space reserved for,” she said.

That’s when the student — whose name we will withhold — decided to livestream her encounter with the Border Patrol.

“I don’t know who allowed the murder patrol,” she said while filming the individuals through the doorway. “They allow murderers to be on campus where I pay to be here. Murderers! On campus. Murderers! On campus.

“This is supposed to be a safe space for students but they allow an extension of the KKK into campus. An extension of the KKK into campus!” she continued. “There are students that pay to be here, pay to be here, that need this to be a safe space for them and we have the KKK and their supporters right here at the U of A.”

Here’s video of the encounter which we must warn you contains some profanity. Viewer discretion is advised.

“She continued to say those things, amongst other things, with a very loud voice, to the point where she was screaming,” Pinto told Campus Reform.

Do you think that this student was out of line?

And of course, when they threatened to call University of Arizona police on the young woman, she said, “oh, of course, white women calling the police!”

In the second video, the student can be seen following the Border Patrol agents to their car, chanting all the while, “police, ICE, the shame s— twice!”

So, in typical academia fashion, the university wouldn’t give any sort of statement to Campus Reform.

According to the Arizona Daily Independent, the student newspaper, the student government supported the complaining student in a formal letter.

The letter particularly noted the presence of students who are in the country under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

“Earlier this week U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) was present at a career fair host at the University of Arizona,” the letter said, according to the Daily Independent.

“Although we recognize their attendance was solely to recruit students to join their workforce, the presence … USBP agents on our campus, especially without warning was, is, and will always be immensely harmful to our DACA and undocumented community.”

However, National Border Patrol Council Vice President Art del Cueto noted this line of thinking was “ignorant.”

“We can’t arrest the DACA students as agents,” del Cueto told “The Conservative Circus” radio show, according to the Daily Independent. “We can’t send them back unless, obviously, they commit some kind of crime other than being here illegally. They are a protected class right now so it is ridiculous.”

Of course, if this woman was being trafficked by a cartel from Mexico, it would be the Border Patrol’s job to save her. That’s just one of the ironies here.

But then, that’s not what campus activists think about. They want to go viral abusing people they disagree with. That’s the important thing.

Border security? Enforcing the law? Stopping human trafficking? That’s just not important.
