On his radio talk show Thursday, Rush Limbaugh addressed President Obama’s Wednesday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Limbaugh insinuated that the speech brought up questions which need to be answered. He pointed out that people were calling the president’s speech uplifting, positive, and even Reaganesque.
He went on to ask, if that were the case, why wasn’t every Democrat attending the convention angry at the speech?

Reminding his audience that the terms used to describe the speech are not what Democrats generally support, Limbaugh questioned why the crowd didn’t protest Obama’s speech.
Limbaugh had the answer, saying, “That’s not Barack Obama. That’s not what he believes.”
Limbaugh said the reason Democrats accepted the speech without protest is that they realize the speech had no relationship to their perception of reality.

Limbaugh also asked why, if the speech was so great, people were not talking about it the next day.
He brought up the fact that Donald Trump’s remark Wednesday concerning Russia turning over the missing Clinton emails is still making news.
Democrats are still upset over the comment, calling Trump irresponsible.
“Would somebody explain to me why they care?” Limbaugh said. “I mean, if Trump was so off the wall … if Trump had done something that is essentially self-defeating … if this was the big Trump implosion that everybody has been waiting for since last July, then why are they still talking about it? Why are they so upset about it?”
Limbaugh believes Trump’s comment effectively defines the Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton, reminding people that the woman at the DNC is not really who Clinton is.

Referring once again to the president’s speech, Limbaugh said that if during his two terms in office, Obama had ran the country based on beliefs he mentioned in his speech, he would have the whole country supporting him.
But, as Limbaugh reminded his listeners, “That’s not who Obama is.”
