Man in MAGA Hat Has Incredible Reaction to Trump-Hater Pointing Gun at Him

Let’s see if Democratic presidential candidates jump out to criticize this.

A Tennessee man is charged with wanton endangerment after allegedly pulling a gun on a supporter of President Donald Trump at a Sam’s Club in Bowling Green, Kentucky, according to a news report.

But he picked the wrong guy to pick on.

According to WBKO in Bowling Green, the incident took place Saturday, when a man identified as James Phillips allegedly accosted a Trump supporter named Terry Pierce because Pierce was wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap.

Pierce told police he wasn’t backing down.

“I have as much right to wear that hat and support my country and my president as he has not to,” he said, according to WBKO.

Things reportedly got more dangerous, though.

Pierce, who was with his wife at the time of the confrontation, told WBKO that Phillips “pulled a .40 caliber out and stuck it in my face, backed up and said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.’”

The response Pierce said he gave is one for the books:

Do you think this Trump supporter is a hero?

“I said, ‘Then pull the trigger. Put the gun down and fight me or pull the trigger. Whichever one you want,’” he told WBKO. “And he backed up and he said it again, he said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.'”

Pierce said Phillips backed down and left, but Pierce followed him to his car.

“I went out the front of the store to confront him again and that’s when I got him in his car. He couldn’t leave because his mother was still in the store. And we were having a verbal altercation outside,” Pierce told WBKO.

According to WNKY in Bowling Green, police were called to the scene by witnesses who reported seeing a man pull a gun on a couple.

WNKY reported that Phillips said he’d only made an obscene gesture with his finger at the couple because of the MAGA hats

“He tried telling me I assaulted him and I said, ‘I never touched you,'” Pierce told WBKO.

According to the station, a surveillance camera captured an altercation between the two men, but does not show Phillips with the gun because he was backing out of the camera’s range.

However, according to WBKO, the police report states Phillips had a Glock .40 in his back pocket with a round in the chamber and two more magazines in another pocket. (The station reported Phillips has a concealed carry license in Tennessee, which is honored in Kentucky.)

Now, let’s stipulate a couple of things. We have only Pierce’s version of events at this point. A criminal charge isn’t a conviction. And since the security camera didn’t actually catch Phillips pointing a gun, there’s no way of knowing, objectively, exactly what happened here.

But considering how Democratic presidential candidates and liberal celebrities jumped to blame rampant racism in America for the reported attack on television star Jussie Smollett in January, it would be interesting to see if they were going to be equally outraged by a report where a man allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a couple he didn’t know, simply because they weren’t afraid to show their support for President Donald Trump publicly.

And considering there were actual witnesses who said they saw the man pull the gun, and police found an actual gun in the suspect’s pocket, it’s a fair bet there’s more to this story of attempted political terrorism in Kentucky than there ever was to Smollett’s tale.

It’s also hardly a surprise.

The liberal media – and the many Democrats running for president – will never admit it, but this is exactly the atmosphere they’re fostering, with a never-ending series of attacks on anyone who chooses to associate with the Trump administration.

The teenagers from Covington, Kentucky, who were attacked by the media in January were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, too – which was probably their biggest sin in the eyes of the liberal world.

In a population of more than 300 million people, it’s almost a certainty that someone is going to get carried away in that kind of atmosphere. The country should just be thankful that at the moment there’s just a guy charged with wanton endangerment in Kentucky, rather than a more serious crime that leaves dead bodies behind.

The country should also be grateful for citizens who don’t back down when their political beliefs are threatened on what should be a routine trip to a store. (By anybody’s standard, “Pull the trigger or fight me fair” is about the ultimate badass response in a situation like that.)

If Pierce’s story is true, one person who might not be so grateful about the whole thing is Phillips’ mom. If Phillips really was her ride to Sam’s Club in Bowling Green that day, and Pierce’s story is true, she’s got bigger problems on her hands than the rest of us.
