Media Savages Trump for Saying Exactly What Obama Said in 2014 [Video]

Share

President Donald Trump ran for office on a promise of securing our nation’s borders and restoring the rule of law by actually enforcing immigration laws that have been on the books for decades.

Since Congress has refused to aid Trump in his effort to secure the border via a wall, his administration instead implemented a “zero tolerance” policy that strictly enforced existing laws for those illegal immigrants detained after crossing the border illegally.

A consequence of that policy — which stems from court precedent set in 1997 — was that children are temporarily detained in separate facilities while their parents are processed and prosecuted for illegal entry, often to be reunited later once the process is completed.

Of course, the anti-Trump liberal media has acted as if this policy was ripped straight from Hitler’s playbook of Nazi tactics and is the most horrific policy ever … utterly ignoring the fact that it was essentially a more strict continuation of stated (though not always enforced) policies under the administration of former President Barack Obama.

The above interview with Obama occurred in 2014 and was in regard to the flood of unaccompanied children from Central American nations that were flooding the southern border in untold numbers.

Set aside for a moment the fact that those children and families were encouraged to make the dangerous trek through Mexico to the U.S. in large part because of Obama’s policies and hints of amnesty, and just consider what he actually said in the interview.

“Our message absolutely is, don’t send your children unaccompanied, on trains or through a bunch of smugglers,” Obama said. “We don’t even know how many of these kids don’t make it, and may have been waylaid into sex trafficking, or killed because they fell off a train … we have no way of tracking that.”

“So that is our direct message to the families in Central America: Do not send your children to the border,” Obama reiterated.

Does this 2014 interview with Obama highlight the current display of hypocrisy by the liberal media?

“If they do make it, they’ll be sent back. More importantly, they may not make it,” he added.

Of course, we know by virtue of hindsight and history that Obama was largely lying about unaccompanied illegal immigrant children being “sent back,” as tens of thousands of them were simply processed and released into the country, some never to be seen or heard from again.

We also know that some of those children ended up abused and in the hands of human smugglers and sex slave traffickers, both before and after being detained at the border, unfortunately.

Now compare and consider Obama’s “direct message” to Central American families with what has been stated by Trump, and you will see that they are virtually identical … don’t send your kids to the border or they’ll be caught, detained and deported.

The thing is, Trump actually means what he says while most everyone with common sense knew that Obama was lying about strictly enforcing immigration laws, which is why the liberal media is so up in arms over the issue.

Liberal Democrats have lost the working class and are attempting to import a new class of voter support via immigration. That surreptitious plan is threatened by Trump’s strict enforcement of immigration laws at the border, hence the liberal media freak-out.

The establishment media couldn’t expose their utter hypocrisy any worse than they do when they ignore remarks like this from Obama in 2014 but savagely attack Trump for saying virtually the same things in 2018.
