Meghan McCain's Husband Hammers Twitter CEO After Disturbing Threat Against Her Remains Up for Hours
Recently, Turning Point USA pundit Candace Owens tweeted some of newly-minted New York Times editorial board member Sarah Jeong’s old tweets with slurs against white people replaced with different ethnicities. She was given an almost-instant lockout.
A shooting threat against Meghan McCain in the wake of her father’s death? That was cool for a while, though, apparently.
And now, McCain’s husband is beyond angry.
“On the same day Arizona held memorial services for the late Sen. John McCain, a Twitter user posted a doctored image that appeared to threaten to shoot Meghan McCain as she wept over her father’s casket,” USA Today reported.
“By that night, Ben Domenech, Meghan McCain’s husband, was blasting Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey for allowing the threatening post to stay up.”
“The photo appears to be a doctored version of a photo taken Aug. 29 at a private memorial service at the Arizona Capitol. During the emotional service, Meghan McCain wept over the casket holding her father’s body,” they continued.
“The edited image shows a pair of hands holding a semiautomatic handgun, clearly trained at the grieving woman’s chest.
“‘America,’ the tweet accompanying the photo reads, ‘this ones for you.'”
The photo had been flagged over 100 times, so it wasn’t exactly a matter of Twitter not being notified of the image.

“Tell me why this is cool by you,” Domenech, founder of conservative publication The Federalist, said in a tweet addressed to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s handle, @jack.

Domenech has since deleted his original tweet “so no one has to see (the picture).”
Apparently, though, he didn’t get the reaction he was looking for.

Well, hey. Maybe if he had said the guy had taken a few of Sarah Jeong’s tweets and changed the race from white to something else, that would’ve done the trick.
