Michelle Obama Blasts Trump Supporters as 'Not Reflective of the Country,' Forgets Trump Is Literally Representative of the Country
When it comes to Michelle Obama, the hairdo might be new, but the message hasn’t changed.
Judging by the way the former first lady spoke at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday, the two-plus years of President Donald Trump’s administration and its roaring economy haven’t made her alter her outlook one bit.
And that doesn’t bode well for Democrats in the 2020 campaign.
Interviewed on stage by CNN host Gayle King — while wearing a “natural,” curly hairstyle — Obama described her experience of Trump’s inauguration in 2017.
And promptly insulted not only the president, but the 63 million American voters across the country who elected him.

“That day was very emotional and then to sit at that inauguration and to look around at a crowd that was not reflective of the country,” Obama said, according to MSN.
“And I had to sit in that audience, one of a handful of people of color, and then listen to that speech, all that I had sort of held on to for eight years, watching my husband get raked over the coals, feeling like we had to do everything perfectly, so by the time I got on that plane, it was release of eight years of having to try to show up, as we all know we have to do, not only perfectly but a little bit better than perfect to even be considered equal.”
Not reflective of the country?
It’s understandable that Obama is bitter about the fact that her husband’s presidency was judged a failure. After all, Trump was elected on a promise to undo everything former President Barack Obama did.
But for the former first lady to pretend that those 63 million voters in November – and the throngs who turned out for Trump’s inauguration in January – somehow didn’t represent America is a lie that borders on delusional.

The red areas, of course, voted for Trump. The blue areas went to Hillary Clinton.
That looks like Trump is pretty literally “reflective” of the country. Even liberals would have to admit those red states reflect a much larger portion than the blue islands — if not by population, at least by geography.
And for the constant nagging about the “popular vote,” it’s true that Hillary Clinton drew more ballots in New York and California. But not even the most deluded Democrats will argue that the millions of liberals in the Big Apple and Los Angeles are actually “representative” of the country.
Meanwhile, as the Democratic presidential primary debate nights have already shown, the most partisan members of Mrs. Obama’s party apparently think she’s right.
They want government-run health care, free health care for illegal immigrants, open borders, and free college tuition — all positions that most Americans don’t want.
Democrats want government funding for abortions – even abortions for women who “transition” to becoming men.
And they think they’re going to be “reflective” of America?
The Democratic field talking in front of the crowd at Democratic debates is like Michelle Obama in front of that Essence Festival audience – mistaking a mob of sympathetic supporters for the millions of men and women in America of all races who work hard to pay their bills and raise their families and don’t like where Democrats want to take this country.
Michelle’s hairstyle might be new since she left the White House, but her complete misunderstanding of her own country is as twisted as ever.
The same goes for her party’s presidential contenders. And that’s going to mean trouble for Democrats come 2020.
