Mike Pence Laughs in the Face of a Report Claiming Trump Questioned His Loyalty

Share

Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he laughed with President Donald Trump about an anonymous New York Times report claiming Trump questioned Pence’s loyalty.

It should be evident to everyone by now that the establishment media is obsessed with unsourced and anonymous reports about what happens in the White House.

The most recent potentially fake report making rounds in the media was published by The New York Times on Friday.

The report claimed that Trump has “alarmed some of his advisers” and suggested “dropping Mr. Pence from the ticket and picking another running mate.”

However, Pence seems dubious of the report’s claims. In fact, Pence said he had a good laugh with Trump concerning the hit piece, according to NBC News.

“Let’s just leave it that we had a good laugh, and you know, the president said to me, ‘There are no anonymous sources that would say what that article said,'” Pence told reporters while in Papua New Guinea at an APEC summit Saturday.

Pence also assured reporters that he has a great relationship with Trump.

“The president and I are very close,” Pence said. “We have a very strong relationship. And I’ve been honored to serve as his vice president. And I was honored when he asked me to run with him again.”

Earlier this month, Trump asked Pence if he would be his running mate for the 2020 presidential election.

Do you think Mike Pence is loyal to Trump?

It seems unlikely that Trump would begin questioning Pence’s loyalty after already choosing him as a running mate.

As expected, Trump also denied the story’s claims.

“It was a phony story. I doubt they had any sources. A typical New York Times phony story,” Trump told reporters on Friday.

Trump responded again on Twitter Saturday morning.

“I can’t imagine any President having a better or closer relationship with their Vice President then the two of us. Just more FAKE NEWS, the Enemy of the People!” Trump tweeted.

From the outside, it certainly seems like Trump and Pence have a great relationship, but that didn’t stop the establishment media from hyping up another unsourced story.
