Mom of 3 Makes Terrible Mistake When She Grabs Wrong Can While Packing Son's Lunch Box

OK, those with their hands in the air, could you please step away for just a few minutes? The other 99.85% of us would like to commiserate with one of our own.
All right, so if you’re still reading this, you know all about the wonderful world of parenting fails. You understand exactly what I mean — those moments when, despite blameless intentions to manage our brood, we wind up executing a big fat belly flop instead.
Oh, some of these mishaps are more conventional than others. Standard run-of-the-mill examples might involve mismatched socks, or fastening the diaper wrong.
But in Olympic scoring terms, there are also “advanced” oversights that earn extra points. These would include leaving your pre-schooler alone with fruit-scented markers; introducing your toddler to baking flour; and giving your son beer for lunch.
Wait, back up a second — beer? For lunch?
Yes — it seems a busy Kansas City mother of three was packing her boy’s lunch bag not long ago, and wanted to include a kid-friendly drink.
She was aiming for V8 Fusion, with its rather brilliant all-in-one combination of fruits and veggies.
So let’s just agree upon the fact that Mom’s intentions were stellar. Unfortunately, according to a rather sheepish social media confession, it turns out her early-morning hand-eye coordination was just a little off.
Come on, we’ve all been there. What makes this particular case especially hilarious is that Mom grabbed a can of Shock Top Beer from the fridge instead.
In all fairness, Google the imagery. Both cans are bright and almost aggressively energetic — any sleep-deprived parent could certainly be forgiven for getting them mixed up.
Except it gets even better. Because — wait for it — this particular mom is also a middle school teacher.
Now before you judge too harshly, recall the story of the mother in Queensland, Australia who recently asked her 5-year-old daughter to pull a juice pouch from the family freezer. The cooperative youngster grabbed the closest colorful option.
That little debacle resulted in what the girl’s mother later described as a “very interesting phone call” from school officials.
It seems that in her haste and inexperience, the helpful kiddo had instead grabbed a frozen Smirnoff Raspberry Sorbet vodka pouch and stuffed it into her lunchbox.
So in both cases, we’re going with an “A” for effort — though alas, a failing grade for actual execution. Both loving parents wound up utterly red-faced and embarrassed, yet we can all learn something from their honesty and sense of humor.
