What?! Mystical CNN Contributor on Surprise WH Briefing: 'I Knew in My Spirit' Trump Would Be Involved
In times like these, thank God for CNN, a network that tells it like it is — and features incisive commentators like April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks.
In what might take the cake as the most bizarre appearance of the week, Ryan told CNN that she “knew” in her “spirit” that President Donald Trump would hold a news conference Thursday as Nancy Pelosi was being elected speaker of the House.
“Can you believe this day? Oh, my gosh. April, before we get into any of this, were you there when the fake briefing … the ‘friefing,'” was being held, CNN host Don Lemon asked Ryan.
Ryan indicated she was sure the president would hold an event — in this case, with members of the National Border Control Council — to “upstage” Pelosi’s phony media event across town, where she was being elected as House speaker (or, to use Lemon-speak, “phoeaker”).
According to Ryan, however, she was able to figure out that this was going to happen because of something mystical (or whatever).
“And I knew, I knew, I said for them to hurry up and pull something together like that, I said the president’s coming out. And I knew in my spirit that he was coming out. And sure enough, he came,” Ryan said about Thursday’s event, Trump’s first in the White House press briefing room.
Ryan said it was because the president knew what was on CNN or something.
No, it wasn’t just because Trump wanted to hold a news conference with the National Border Patrol Council, but “it was also to answer the reports that were on CNN,” she said.
“Remember those reports this week that have been on CNN that the president has not made it in the briefing room at all in two years? So he hit two birds with one stone,” Ryan said, “But more so to upstage Nancy Pelosi.”
Host Don Lemon responded, “As soon as I heard it, I said stunt, stunt, stunt. It’s going to be exactly like the ‘President (Barack) Obama was not born in this country’ birther thing.”
Alrighty then.
Again, thank God for CNN.
If it weren’t for the network, we wouldn’t know stuff like how April Ryan knew in her spirit how President Trump was going to upstage Nancy Pelosi by, um, doing something involving spiritual warfare.
Now, granted, we don’t know how this actually happened, but April Ryan did. Kind of. And she managed to figure out how this whole thing was going on.
It isn’t just that April Ryan is full of garbage. CNN is, too. Then again, you probably already knew this.
But it sure is entertaining to watch.
