Ocasio-Cortez May Have Just Made Her Worst Mistake Yet by Attacking Mike and Sarah Sanders
When Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez likened her election victory to the moon landing Friday, Mike Huckabee wasn’t about to let it slip by without saying something.
Ocasio-Cortez made the comparison last week while speaking to a group of her followers, according to the U.K. Daily Mail. Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, took to Twitter, expressing his utter disbelief that she made the connection in the first place.
And he did it with typical Mike Huckabee style.
Ocasio-Cortez compares her election to moon landing. Huh? Big difference. Moon landing was LUNAR, not LOONEY; Moon landing done by ppl who knew what they were doing…those who elected someone who thought there were 3 branches of Congress did NOT. https://t.co/Kc3nvvByN3

Ocasio-Cortez’s response started out with a confusing reference to her “New Green Deal,” which she promised would rival the moon landing. The “New Green Deal,” a climate change agenda, is unlikely to meet the success of the 20th Century’s moon missions while President Donald Trump is in office.
She then took it a little too far, attacking Huckabee’s daughter, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Her response might have just been a kick to the hornet’s nest.
A Green New Deal will take a level of ambition + innovation on the scale of the moon landing. We’ve been done it before, and can do it again.
Leave the false statements to Sarah Huckabee. She’s much better at it.
Also, you haven’t been a Governor of any state for 10+ years now. https://t.co/R7q5CkMw8Y

Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn’t one to back down from a challenge, meaning Ocasio-Cortez may be in for a bitter political rivalry before she even swears in to her position.
This wouldn’t be good for the young democratic socialist, who is already proving to be an easy target thanks to her tenuous grasp on the realities of her job. She seems to already have a problem with the underlying structure of government, confusing all three branches and never quite getting it right.
And if Ocasio-Cortez wants to talk about false statements, there’s plenty of ammunition there as well.
Recently, she made headlines after apparently being unable to discover the origins of a letter, which she then used to show the unbounded cruelty of insurance companies. The letter was actually from a clinic specializing in hearts and lungs.
Her resulting tweet pushed fake news to over a million followers, and still remains published.
Mike Huckabee and Sarah Huckabee Sanders both are able to hold their own against people like Ocasio-Cortez.
The father-daughter duo made that case when they appeared on “The View” last year, facing the show’s decidedly liberal panel with ease.
It’s safe to say this Huckabee pair isn’t afraid of a newly-elected Democrat.
With almost no experience in the political world, and in a fledgling congressional career already littered with mistakes, Ocasio-Cortez may have just made her worst mistake yet — poking a sleeping bear.
Unfortunately for her, it seems she’s making more enemies than friends in Washington.
