Panicking Leftists Claim Gabbard's Being Used by Russians After She Destroyed Kamala in Debate

Share

Once of the most talked-about moments from Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debate was Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s beat-down of California Sen. Kamala Harris.

Now, some liberals, terrified that an anti-establishment outsider like Gabbard might be hurting Harris, are claiming without evidence that Gabbard is only receiving attention online due to Russians “bots,” or fake social media accounts run by Russians looking to interfere in the 2020 election.

Here’s the moment everyone was talking about. Gabbard, as RealClearPolitics pointed out, went after Harris’ aggressive record as a prosecutor in California.

“Now Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she’ll be a prosecutor president,” Gabbard said.

“But I’m deeply concerned about this record,” she added. “There are too many examples to cite but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.

“She blocked evidence — she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.”

Do you think that progressives are afraid of Gabbard?

In the aftermath of the debate, “#KamalaHarrisDestroyed” started trending on Twitter. And liberals just couldn’t take it.

Instead of accepting the fact that some people actually liked what Gabbard had to say, plenty of leftists claimed Russia was promoting her candidacy.

It wasn’t just liberals.

“Most of the Tulsi supporters are in Russia,” anti-Trump GOP strategist Rick Wilson tweeted.

Of course, there’s no evidence that Russian bots are propping up Gabbard’s candidacy. It’s far more likely that progressives who are afraid Gabbard’s message is resonating with Democratic voters are turning back to their favorite bogeyman — Russia.

They tried this with President Donald Trump over the past two years, to no avail. Now, Russia-obsessed liberals have a new target.
