There are obvious downsides to being famous, but one that doesn’t often come to mind is being the potential target of a terrorist attack.
Hotel heiress and pop culture icon Paris Hilton has been famous for most of her adult life, for reasons ranging from a leaked sex tape, a reality show and a public feud with fellow socialite Kim Kardashian.
Diario de Ibiza recently conducted an interview with the 35-year-old Hilton during a DJ gig on the Spanish party island, where she expressed major concerns about ISIS and recent terror attacks in Europe and the possibility of the radical terrorist group targeting her specifically.

“It’s horrible what is happening, the recent bombing in Nice and Germany are terrible, something disgusting and scary. They are things that go through my head as I travel a lot and when I think about it frightens me,” Hilton said. “I’m moving and traveling from one country to another, I’m a famous person who can be a clear target of an attack and is something that sometimes terrifies me. … I always try to watch my back.”Hilton also weighed in on another current issue, namely the presidential election. Republican nominee Donald Trump has been largely met with scorn among celebrities, but Hilton bucked that trend, saying nice things about the billionaire and having a seemingly optimistic view regarding whoever wins in November.
“Donald Trump, I know since I was a child, he is a good friend of my father. I think [he] is an extraordinary businessman. The media loves to speak ill of famous people and judge. Donald is a very famous person who is in the eye of the hurricane. I do not know who will win, I just hope it is the best person, whoever it is,” she said.
