Sometimes the biggest of miracles come from the saddest of circumstances. In this particular instance, a miracle baby survived a heartbreaking accident that cost another life.

Sana Muhammad was the mother of this child. She was enjoying life and waiting for the moment her little baby would be born — until her life was cut too short.

Muhammad, who changed her name from Devi Unmathallagadoo after she was remarried, was a loving mother of five with another one on the way, according to Sky News. Her children ranged in age from one to 17, surely keeping her busy.

While she was cleaning in her East London home on Monday, Muhammad was attacked by her ex-husband, Ramanodge Unmathallagadoo, in front of her children.

Her 35-year-old husband of six years, Imtiaz Muhammad, told the Evening Standard that he had come across Unmathallegadoo in his garden shed at around 7:35 a.m.

Tragically, Unmathallegadoo shot Sana Muhammad with a crossbow and the pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital where she later died.

According to police, Sana Muhammad was found with an abdominal injury, and everyone feared the worst for her baby.

As luck would have it, the arrow of the crossbow narrowly missed the baby’s body, passing just inches away.

Surgeons operated feverishly to save the baby with reports saying that the arrow was still in the mother’s body at the time.

The baby’s life was spared as he was delivered by Caesarian section in the hospital that day, The Daily Mail reported.

Relatives decided to call the little bundle of joy Ibrahim and doctors say he is in a stable condition.
