Princess Charlotte Looks Strikingly Similar to Grandma Diana in Old Childhood Photos

Share

No doubt the late Princess Diana would have been over the moon to witness her granddaughter begin preschool. Though it’s been 20 years since Diana’s tragic passing, her legacy lives on through a pint-sized princess.

While Princess Charlotte sadly never got to meet her grandma, she bears a strong resemblance to Princess Diana.

Many royal fans have commented that Princess Charlotte’s first day of school photos look strikingly similar to her late grandmother.

Perhaps it’s the way their sandy blonde hair frames their similarly-shaped faces. Perhaps it’s their hope-filled eyes accompanied by a genuinely sweet smile.

Do you agree the pair shares a resemblance?

The above photos were taken over 50 years apart, and it will be interesting to watch how the resemblance takes shape as Princess Charlotte grows up.

Until now, many have thought Princess Charlotte looks like her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Many have pointed out their similarly chubby cheeks and facial features.

Perhaps Princess Charlotte ended up with the best features of all the women in her family!

Either way, as many fans have pointed out, those royal genes are strong.

It’s been a big week for the royal family, and 2018 will certainly be a milestone year for the entire royal family. On Jan. 8, Princess Charlotte started preschool at Willcocks Nursery School in London.

On Jan. 9, the Duchess of Cambridge quietly celebrated her 36th birthday at home with her family. Just one day later, the Duchess met with students from Reach Academy Feltham, in London.

In the midst of her busy engagement schedule, the Duchess is gearing up for the birth of her third child in April.

She even re-wore one of her favorite maternity dresses to her school visit on Jan. 10, showing off her growing baby belly.

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte is settling in nicely at her new school. She was described as “very sweet and very confident” and having “beautiful manners.”

A new school, a new baby, and a highly-anticipated royal wedding all in one year have the royal family in the public eye, as always.

Princess Diana would have loved to soak it all in, and will no doubt be in her family’s hearts during this milestone year.
