A new report suggests Republican nominee Donald Trump may have big plans for after election day in the event he loses to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
The Financial Times reported on Monday that Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, may be in the process of attempting to set up a Trump-based television network.
“Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner has informally approached one of the media industry’s top dealmakers about the prospect of setting up a Trump television network after the presidential election in November,” said the report.

According to the Times, Kushner had a brief conversation with LionTree founder Aryeh Bourkoff, who specializes in media and technology deals.
Trump has denied in the past that he is seeking to launch a television network or streaming service if he loses in November.
“I have no interest in a media company. False rumor,” he told The Washington Post last month.

Trump’s anti-media campaign could be a natural lead-in to a channel that pushes back against the “elites” the billionaire has been railing against during the campaign.
However, there are numerous challenges involved in attempting to successfully run a subscriber based network from scratch, something TheBlaze founder and prominent “Never Trumper” Glenn Beck found out when he began his channel several years ago.
“It is a lot harder than you think,” he said during an interview on CNN’s Reliable Sources back in September.
However, despite his own distaste for the real estate mogul, Beck believes a Trump-based network could do very well.
“Trump will be fantastic at it, because you can just keep juicing those people up and saying crazier and crazier things, and they will just keep paying you money, and you will make $20 million a year,” he said.

Trump is already surrounded by media professionals who could undoubtedly be a great help to the billionaire if he does choose to start his own television network.
In addition to Kushner, who owns the New York Observer, Trump’s campaign chairman Steve Bannon was a top media executive with Breitbart Media for several years and campaign adviser Roger Ailes was the longtime head honcho over at the Fox News Channel.
