Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin ripped into the “Never Trump” movement Friday at a conservative summit in Denver, according to Politico.
“That gang, they call themselves Never hashtag, whatever, I just call them Republicans Against Trump — or RAT for short,” she said.
Palin insisted that Republicans who refuse to support presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump are a threat to the safety of the country. She said too much is at stake to risk the presidency falling into the hands of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and she declared that those opposed to Trump “are either with us or against us.”

“We’re talking about the direction of our country, our children’s future, the direction of the Supreme Court, all of this hinging on the next election,” Palin said. “And at such a time as this, you cannot be lukewarm. … Thinking Americans thought and watched Donald Trump rip the veil off a rigged system that has betrayed your everyday, hard-working, garden-variety, ticked-off American. And there are more of us than the disconnected left can ever even fathom.”
The former Alaska governor said that Republicans who don’t support Trump “want to take their … ball home and stay home instead of vote because their guy didn’t win this time around. Now, you know, I shouldn’t call them thumbsuckers because they’re not all bad. I’m kidding. They are. And Hillary thanks them because she cannot win without them.”

She said that all of Trump’s rallies were full of energy and positivity compared with the Democrat rallies, which were “cranky, demanding [and] shrill.” She poked fun at the political left for being incoherent in policy decisions and only promising to give away free stuff.
Palin also praised Trump as a revolutionary and warned not to underestimate the movement that has been created by his campaign. “The tent is growing, with people understanding, you know, these common-sense, time-tested principles and truths that will make America great again. We’ll apply those,” she said.
