Sarah Sanders Trashes Rashida Tlaib Over Impeachment Talks
The Democratic party is fired up, but Sarah Sanders just fired back.
On Thursday, one of the newest and lowest-ranking members of Congress went on a foul-mouthed rant about taking down President Donald Trump. The same day that Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan was sworn into the House of Representatives, she blasted the president with some not-safe-for-work language.
“We’re gonna go in there and impeach the motherf***er!” Tlaib declared to loudly cheering supporters in Washington.

Millions of people watched and talked about the crass video online — and one of them was the president’s own press secretary.
Sarah Sanders appeared on “Fox & Friends” Friday morning with a clear message for Tlaib and other Democrats.
“You’re not going to impeach this president when he had two of the most successful years that any president has had in modern history,” she confidently declared.
“The only reason they want to come after this president is because they know they can’t beat him. They can’t beat him when it comes to a policy debate, and they’re not going to beat him when it comes to 2020,” Sanders continued, referencing the next election.
But Sanders was just getting warmed up. She pointed out that the left wouldn’t need to stoop to cursing and name-calling if they actually had a positive plan for the country.
“They have no solutions for America. People are sick and tired of playing politics,” she said. “They want them to come to Washington and actually work with the president to get something done. They want the economy to grow, they want to continue to see job creation skyrocket.”
For all the talk from Democrats about returning to civility, Tlaib and others like her seem more intent on picking petty fights — and the press secretary doesn’t think that’s going to go over well with Americans.
“They want these individuals to actually come to help the president. Not to fight him,” Sanders explained. “That’s not what America is looking for, that’s not the goodness of our country.”
“I hope that some of these new faces that campaigned on being different and being a change will actually come here to work with the president, work for solutions and actually work to help the American people and not to help their own political careers,” she added.
That’s an excellent point. Two wrongs, as they say, don’t make a right. Even Republicans admit that Trump’s mouth — or in many cases keyboard — can sometimes get away from him, but that doesn’t give the left carte blanche to double-down on even worse vileness.
The reality is that new representatives like Tlaib and New York’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have no idea what they’re getting into. They have more fingers on one hand than days in office, yet seem to think that they now control Washington and the country.
Opponents of Donald Trump have underestimated and mocked him for years, right before they fall on their faces. Underestimating the president and starting a political career with unprintable language might get attention, but only time will tell if it gets results.
