After Several High-Profile Rapes by Illegals, Sanctuary County Lets Another Illegal Alleged Rapist Walk

Share

In an action against the safety of its own community, Montgomery County, Maryland, has followed through with a Democrat-led executive order to ignore an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer request on an alleged rapist who is in the country illegally, The Daily Caller reported.

On Aug. 10, local authorities arrested Salvadoran illegal alien Rodrigo Castro-Montejo and charged him with second-degree rape and second-degree assault.

Two days after charges were made, ICE placed a detainer request on him.

The Montgomery County Detention Center, however, ignored the request and released Castro-Montejo the next day.

The executive order behind this decision is known as “The Promoting Community Trust Executive Order,” and it outlaws police from inquiring about immigration status. It also forbids local authorities from cooperating with their federal counterparts with regard to immigration.

It’s more than a little ironic that one of the stated reasons for this order was so “all residents of Montgomery County feel safe.”

It has only been a month since Montgomery County Executive Democrat Marc Elrich signed the executive order, but the county has already enforced it in multiple instances involving rape charges.

In another case, Salvadoran nationals Mauricio Barrera-Navidad and Carlos Palacios-Amaya were arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl. In an even more sickening development, one of the suspects allegedly used his cell phone to record himself brutally raping the young girl.

Do you think action should be taken against sanctuary cities?

Palacios-Amaya was previously deported in 2014 but has since returned.

Barrera-Navidad was issued a “final order of removal in” in 2016 — but is still here.

Elrich vowed to notify ICE if and when they post bond, as is the standard procedure for dealing with illegal aliens charged with “serious crimes.” While somewhat commendable, this procedure is contingent on the fact that a crime (besides being here illegally) must already have been committed.

Meanwhile, an 11-year-old girl is recovering from being brutalized.

Sadly, these crimes are shockingly and inexcusably preventable. These monsters must be sent back for the crime of illegal entry before they have a chance to violate an innocent person.

ICE should have been allowed to enforce the law of the land, but these to men were able to live in a leftist utopia.

Montgomery County had the chance to learn from their mistake by complying with the detainer request for the next illegal alien charged with rape — but they refused to do so with Rodrigo Castro-Montejo.

Unfortunately, it looks like the “party of women” will continue to prioritize the feelings of foreign nationals over the safety of their female constituents.
