'She Ain't Scared of Nothing' Uncle Says After Niece Sends Creep Running for Cover

When a man in Memphis tried robbing a family at gunpoint after pretending he needed some help, he found out quickly that he wasn’t the only with a firearm.

According to WHBQ-TV, the police are now on the lookout for the man after a shootout had him on the run.

The incident happened in the Whitehaven area of the city last week. The man approached the home first asking for a phone and then for a ride. Then, he pulled a gun.

The whole thing was caught on surveillance camera.

“I advise you to back the f*** up,” the woman said after the criminal had apparently threatened her husband. “Take off, get the f*** out of here!”

The woman was the niece of the home’s resident and was visiting from Florida.

According to her uncle, she’s exactly the type to stop this sort of thing from happening.

“She’s bold. She ain’t scared of nothing,” he told the television station.

Do you think concealed carry stops crime?

“People are so bold now day’s just broad day light on a Sunday come up to you and try robbing you.

“She said she didn’t want to kill him, but when he fired back at us after she fired the warning shot. She said she was trying to hit him then but didn’t.”

Police are still searching for the suspect, but one can imagine he’s not going to be returning to that section of the city anytime soon.

The point is that we’ve always said that a good guy with a gun is the best way to beat a bad guy with a gun.

One may question the fact that she decided to fire a warning shot after the man was running, thus escalating the situation (pro-tip: that’s usually a no-go).

However, the fact that he was fleeing the scene in the first place is proof that merely having a firearm can defuse a situation relatively quickly.

So, while this should be a lesson to everyone in proper gun usage during a crime, the message ought to be clear: self-defense works. Period.
