According to USA Today, California is the 6th most expensive state to live in. The cost of living in California, high real estate prices, and soaring taxes make it difficult for a family with average means to survive, let alone thrive. Government workers in California may have a steady job and good benefits, but salaries are average as well. Syed Farook and his wife, the San Bernadino terrorists, only made $53,000 per year as a health inspector and stay at home mom.

The arsenal that was found in the Farook home–the guns, the pipe bombs, the ammunition–was estimated to have a value well into the thousands; and a California single family, one-earner income likely could not have covered the purchase price for the plethora of weaponry found at the Farook home.

That fact did not go unnoticed. Investigators quickly delved into the financial records of the terrorists, and what they discovered when they followed the money will have them digging even deeper into who or what organizations bankrolled the terrorists’ murderous actions.
According to a Fox News exclusive, inside sources confirmed that the terrorists received $28,500 in a Webank account. Farook withdrew $10,000 in cash and transferred $15,000 to his mother via Union Bank. It is believed that he used the $10,000 to buy the guns and ammunition. At this point, it is unclear how the money given to his mother was used. Investigators are hard at work tracking how Farook spent the funds.

The monetary movements of the terrorists serves as evidence of the premeditation of the terrorists’ actions. The source of the transfer of funds has not been revealed to the press, even though Fox News contacted Webank and Union Bank for comment. Neither bank is speaking with the press, but they both are working with investigators to follow the money trail to ascertain who funded the massacre.
