Amid rumor and speculation, former President George W. Bush and Laura Bush made their way to the polls Tuesday to cast their vote for president.
Bush spokesman Freddy Ford put an end to the question of who Bush would vote for in an email sent to The Texas Tribune.
“They didn’t vote for Hillary; they didn’t vote for Trump,” Ford said.

In September, there were rumors the 43rd president would be voting for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton instead of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
These rumors were never confirmed, however, by Bush or anyone associated with him.
While it is true neither Bush or his father, former president George H.W. Bush, endorsed the Trump campaign, they also did not endorse Clinton.

On his radio talk show Tuesday, Rush Limbaugh told his audience that he had been informed that George W. and Laura Bush had indeed voted for Clinton.
“On one level, it’s personal,” Limbaugh said. “Remember what Trump said about Jeb. And Trump has had some unkind things to say about George W. Bush.”
He added, “But aside from that, think about party loyalty, think about issues, think about the direction of the country. How does anybody vote for Hillary Clinton?”
In a tweet posted by Jonathan Martin of the New York Times, the former president and first lady reportedly voted a straight Republican ticket with one exception.
They chose not to cast a vote for president.

The Bushes are not the only prominent conservatives to refrain from casting a vote for president.
Gov. Charlie Baker of Massachusetts admitted he left the presidential box blank, saying, “First time in my life I haven’t voted for the president, and I’m obviously disappointed by that.”
Ohio Gov. John Kasich, confirmed last week he kept his promise not to vote for Donald Trump by writing in the name of Arizona Sen. John McCain.
