UPDATE, February 24, 2021: This article, and its headline, originally claimed that the “jaws of life” tool was used to extricate Tiger Woods from his vehicle following the crash. This claim was based on an erroneous statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Later, officials clarified that the “jaws of life” tool was not, in fact, used.
