Tim Allen & Tom Hanks' Emotional Messages After Recording Final Lines of 'Toy Story 4'

Share

The “Toy Story” franchise has greatly impacted millions of people across the world since 1995.

Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head and the rest of the gang won people’s hearts through rescue missions at Pizza Planet, a toy museum and Sunnyside Daycare center.

When “Toy Story 3” ended with Andy donating his beloved toys to a little girl named Bonnie, most fans of the trilogy thought that the movie provided a satisfying, although emotional, end.

That is until Pixar released a teaser trailer for a fourth installment in the franchise in November 2018.

Even the director of the new film, Josh Cooley, admitted that he thought that “Toy Story 3” was the end of the story.

“Like most people, I assumed that Toy Story 3 was the end of the story. And it was the end of Woody’s story with Andy,” he told E! News. “But just like in life, every ending is a new beginning. Woody now being in a new room, with new toys and a new kid was something we have never seen before. The questions of what that would be like became the beginning of an entertaining story worth exploring.”

While we still don’t know much about the plot of the fourth movie, one thing is being made clear: Bo Peep, who was absent in the past movie, will be the center of the movie.

Are you excited to see Toy Story 4?

“Bo’s taken control of her own destiny,” Cooley said in a statement. “While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again.”

New toys and characters will also join the scene. So far we’ve been introduced to Forky, who is not a toy, and Ducky and Bunny.

The movie will be released in theaters on June 21, 2019, leaving plenty of time for us to learn more about the plot of this new chapter in the toys’ lives, a story that actor Tim Allen says is a “wonderful full body story.”

After finishing the lines as Buzz Lightyear, Allen tweeted, “Finished my Buzz for Toy Story 4 today and it got emotional. Wonderful full body story. You are all going to love the work this incredible team at Pixar created. We are all going to love this story….man its got everything.”

Tom Hanks also posted an emotional tribute to the last day of recording and even quoted iconic lines that will wrench the heart of anyone who has grown up with the beloved franchise.

“Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4. We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx,” he wrote.

I don’t know about you, but after seeing the reactions of the actors who will bring this film to life I’m even more excited to hit the theaters this summer and go on another adventure with Woody and Buzz.
