Trump Hater Protesting on Freeway Sues After Traffic Doesn't Stop
Anti-Trump radicals seem to be having a hard time accepting that he’s the president… and they apparently have a tough time understanding physics.
A student in California — where else? — is now suing her university after she stood in traffic during a protest, and was hit by a car that was unable to stop.
Bizarrely, the leftist student is blaming her school for not stopping the very same protest she was part of, as if it was their responsibility to protect her from her own decisions.
“Mariana Flores, a sophomore at (University of California-San Diego), was demonstrating against Donald Trump’s victory on a busy San Diego freeway when a vehicle hit her,” reported The College Fix. “The accident crushed her pelvis, fractured her leg, and caused other serious injuries.”
What exactly was Flores doing when she was surprised by a car? It turns out she was standing in one of the busiest interstates in America.
“(D)emonstrators ended up on the I-5, a very large and busy eight-laned freeway that cuts through San Diego,” continued College Fix.
It apparently never occurred to the radical liberal that standing in a freeway might have consequences, and that “social justice” wouldn’t protect her from a 3,000 pound steel car at highway speeds.
“Flores’ attorney Gene Sullivan informed the UCSD Guardian that due to the nature of her injuries, Flores’ medical bills over the course of her life will be in the millions of dollars, so he and his client hope that the university will offer assistance in covering the costs,” the university newspaper stated.
Flores and her lawyer are trying to claim that even though the liberal student willingly joined in the protest, the University of California should have stopped it or somehow kept the angry demonstrators from walking onto a freeway.
“Sullivan told the Guardian that the university ‘planned, organized’ and knew the protest was happening for hours but did nothing to stop it,” the campus paper elaborated. “According to Sullivan, not doing anything and failing to act is legally the same thing as supporting the protest.”
To be clear, we don’t wish injury on anyone… but this is a perfect example of how the modern left has become completely divorced from reality.
A university is supposed to be a place of serious learning, where young adults prepare to be competitive in the fast-paced world. Instead, liberal campuses have become places of coddling and nanny-statism, where grown women need babysitters to prevent them from wandering onto an interstate.
Think about it: Three-year-olds are taught not to walk into traffic, and that making bad choices hurts. Yet the same college students who will receive liberal arts degrees don’t have the sense God gave a goose.
Once-proud universities have become farces, and snowflake students now believe that the world — and traffic — revolves around them. Welcome to the modern left.
