During an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Donald Trump discussed his ideal moderators for this year’s presidential debates.
The Republican nominee had favorable views of most of the names mentioned, but made it clear he absolutely did not want a certain female from a certain cable news channel to be involved.
If you’re thinking that certain someone would be Megyn Kelly of Fox News, you would be … wrong.

The person Trump said does not want considered to be a moderator is CNN contributor Mary Katharine Ham.
“I’ve never gotten along with her, no,” Trump said of Ham. “No, she is not a fan of mine, and I’ve never gotten along with her. … I don’t know her. I don’t know her, but she says only bad things, so let’s cross her name off.”
However, Trump seemed very open to NBC’s Lester Holt, even though the news anchor has never moderated a presidential debate before. The GOP nominee referred to him as a “good guy.”

“I like some of the old faces, too, but I’m OK with having new faces,” Trump told Hewitt.
“I don’t want to have people that are unfair,” Trump continued. “When you look at what Candy Crowley did with, you know, with Mitt Romney, that was so unfair. And she was wrong on top of everything.”
Trump was referring to the 2012 presidential debate between Republican candidate Mitt Romney and President Obama.
During the debate Crowley fact-checked Romney when he accused Obama of not calling Benghazi a terror attack. She interrupted, saying the president did use that word.
Republicans were furious with Crowley, viewing the incident as favoritism because it was her only fact-check of the night.

Hewitt agreed with Trump that Crowley was wrong and offered up some additional names.
“Chuck Todd won’t do that. [CBS’s John] Dickerson won’t do that. [CNN’s] Jake [Tapper] and Wolf Blitzer won’t do that. Dana Bash was very fair to you, didn’t you think?” Hewitt asked.
Trump acknowledged that Bash has had “moments of great fairness.”
But when asked who else he would prefer, Trump told Hewitt that he wasn’t going to reveal that right now. The GOP nominee claimed he doesn’t like to insult people, so he’s not going to bring up any additional names.

Hewitt did not ask Trump how he would feel if Megyn Kelly were scheduled to be a moderator.
The first debate is set to take place Sept. 26 in Hempstead, N.Y.
