Growing tired of people stealing and vandalizing his property, a supporter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump decided he’d had enough.
In an effort to deter the vandalism, the homeowner wired his Trump sign with an electrical charge and then installed a surveillance camera to catch vandals in the act.
In a video just released, a man in a blue hoodie can be seen pushing a stroller near the yard containing the booby-trapped sign.

A few minutes later, the same man returns alone.
He nears the property, jogs into the yard and proceeds to grab the sign — and gets shocked.
After feeling the electrical charge, the would-be vandal swiftly discards the sign and jumps around waving his hand, before he runs away.

According to the Trump supporter, the man in the hoodie was arrested and charged with trespassing.
This is not an isolated case of vandalism against Trump supporters. Nor is it the only case of a Trump sign being booby-trapped.
Earlier in September, an Indiana resident placed a sign in his yard showing his support for the GOP nominee.
In anticipation of possible theft or vandalism, Phillip, who requested his last name not be used, attached fishing line and string to the sign. The string was painted green so it would be camouflaged in the grass.

Just as he suspected, someone tried to steal the sign, but was unsuccessful.
After locating the sign and returning it to the lawn, Phillip installed a video camera to record anyone attempting to damage or remove it.
A video showed a woman snatching the sign and running from the scene. Upon reaching the end of the string, the woman was thrown to the ground.
Phillip told the reporter, “I’m 2 and 0.”

In Massachusetts, a man’s attempt to booby trap his homemade Trump signs had unexpected results.
Arthur Gonsalves decided to attach a black box to his signs. The words “Danger” and Booby trap” were written on the box.
Upon noticing the suspicious-looking box, police officers cordoned off the area and called the bomb squad.
Gonsalves explained the box was an old stereo equalizer he had decided to attach to the sign to keep people from vandalizing it.

After hearing the explanation, the call to the bomb squad was canceled.
