As traffic was starting to gear up for the morning commute in downtown Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, tempers got heated as two cars fought for the HOV lane.
Posted on YouTube Thursday by a user only identified as Nihilanth, the video was shot from a dash-cam right behind the incident. It captured the entire encounter between the two vehicles.
As seen in the video, a Nissan Altima tried to merge onto the HOV lane. An unidentified person in a Dodge Ram to the right of the car tried to merge left after, but there was no room for them in the lane; so he stayed stuck in between the two lanes during the majority of the footage. The driver of the truck tried to get in a few times, but the Altima could not move; and therefore, it left the truck stuck. At one point during the video, the driver of the truck rolled down the window and appeared to have words with the driver of the car. This, however, did not dissuade the driver of the car. The two vehicles continued to fight for the spot in the lane.

At approximately the 37 second mark in the video, the driver of the truck decided to try a different, and much scarier, tactic to get the driver of the car to move. They appear to point a weapon at the driver of the car. What looks like a gun or rifle of some sort is seen protruding out of the window of the truck.
The driver of the car seems to have decided it was not worth being shot or dying for the HOV lane. The driver allowed the truck to move forward; and at the end of the video, the truck can be seen moving into the HOV lane several cars ahead of the Altima.

The driver of the Altima continued without incident on their morning commute; and for whatever reasons, the driver did not file a report with authorities. According to the Dallas police, there were no reports filed, and no complaints made.
