Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty recently responded to calls for gun control prompted by the Oregon shooting which took nine lives.
Speaking to TheBlaze, he stated: “I don’t blame them for responding that way because look, everybody believes this is horrible. This is horrific. You respond emotionally because it’s unbelievable. How does this happen? What can we do?”
He stated: “I don’t hold it against people who are trying these things that I disagree with. Because we are all trying to stop violence. We want everyone to love each other and value human life.”

Even though he did not blame people for responding emotionally to the crisis, Robertson refused to compromise his stance on the issue.
He stated: “In my opinion, I think the more people that are armed with good intentions, the better off you are. It just seems it’s giving power to people with evil intentions if they can go to a gun free area and they are the only ones with a gun.”
Duck Dynasty family members have spoken out about guns and gun control before. Si Robertson stated in a Men’s Journal interview: “It ain’t gun control we need; it’s sin control.”
