Watch: Trump's 4th of July Tanks Roll Through Washington, D.C.

Share

This Fourth of July party is already rolling in the nation’s capital.

Some Washington-area residents got a sneak peek of the military might that will be on display Thursday for the Independence Day celebration in the nation’s capital.

It’s patriotic, it’s pride in the country and it’s military – so, naturally, liberals hate every minute of it.

A baseball fan posted a quick glimpse of tanks being rolled through Washington on Tuesday night — on vehicles, so their weight and treads don’t damage the D.C. roads.

The vehicles are going to be positioned on or near the National Mall, The Associated Press reported Wednesday.

Do you think the tank display is appropriate for the Fourth of July?

President Donald Trump first broached the idea of a military parade in Washington, D.C., after his visit to Paris in 2017. It never took off then, but clearly, the commander in chief never dropped the idea.

In February, he made the announcement official:

Democrats in Congress and local D.C. lawmakers have carped plenty — and from the looks of comments from liberals on social media, you’d think Trump had ordered the tanks into the capital to crush dissidents or something.

You know, as socialist governments – such as Hitler’s National Socialists, or the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics — tend to do.

That also happens to be the ideology Democrats are in love with these days. No idea where that might lead.

Can somebody get that guy some smelling salts?

Fortunately, some adults were also ready to comment. Like this veteran:

Or this guy, who noted there’s really nothing unusual about this for American gatherings:

“Used to have this at our fairs when National Guard would bring their tanks and other equipment,” he wrote. “Kids and adults loved it!”

So do normal people who like to have a good time on the Fourth of July and enjoy everything about this great country – including its occasionally silly, occasionally ostentatious, but always fun holiday celebrations.

It’s what they call the American Way.

So, lighten up, libs. And let the party get rolling.
